Kathryn Ladano
Kathryn Ladano is a musician and educator whose work explores the intersection of music, sound, and the human experience. Following a traumatic brain injury, Kathryn became deeply engaged with brain injury communities and recovery narratives. This experience led her to create Anatomy of the Recovering Brain, a performance-based project that combines sound art and lived experience to illuminate the often-invisible journey of brain injury recovery. Through this work, Kathryn aims to foster understanding, empathy, and dialogue around neurological trauma and healing. In 2025, Kathryn was awarded the Rogers Women of the Year award in Arts & Culture, largely in recognition of her Anatomy of the Recovering Brain project.
